About as - Odlewnia Żeliwa - Terlecki Sp. z o.o.
The Iron Foundry was established in 1987 as a family business. The beginnings of our business activity date back to 1981, when we set up a metal product manufacturing plant and a foundry, making aluminium alloy castings for our own needs. In 1987 we started construction of the iron foundry and after 10 months of building works the first melt from the cold-blast cupola was made. The plant manufactured central heating radiators as well as custom-made and short-series castings for local industrial plants and craftsmen. Another group of products added later to our assortment consisted of sewage, road and storm drain manhole covers.
In 2001 we modernized the foundry, purchasing a DISA 2013 moulding line. Since then quality of castings has improved and quantity of manufactured castings has considerably risen.
At the beginning of 2008 we started production of spheroidal cast iron and cast steel – the casting process takes places in an Inductotherm induction furnace with the crucible volume of 800 kg. In the early 2008 we started production of 80-350 kg castings in the chemical cure (furan) resin technology. This technology enables us to manufacture atypical, custom-made and short-series castings from grey cast iron, spheroidal cast iron and cast steel.
Currently we are manufacturing 4000 T casting yearly, employing 60 – 70 people.
We are ISO 9001:2001 and ISO14001:2005 certified.
Iron castings manufactured by our foundry are applied in machine and construction industry and agricultural machinery production.
